Your Training

My name is Lars Daniel Kirkemo. I am stationed in Stavanger where I work as a personal trainer and nutritionist at Ta Tak, Forus.

It is a passion:

I have always been drawn to educating myself, and pushing my limits, both physically and mentally.

There is a strong correlation between your physical (health) strength and your mental (health) strength.

I first started weightlifting 10 years ago at a local gym where I also happened to work that summer.

I have never looked back.


You are born to move, and to develop yourself

I truly believe there are no limits to your potential. If you can conquer small challenges, you can conquer bigger challenges. It is all about the mindset. The confidence you gain from conquering obstacles at training transcends trough all other aspects of your life. It all comes down to self-belief. You set a goal and work towards that goal regardless of the obstacles and challenges you may face on the way. Stay committed and believe in your own abilities. You will reach it.

My approach:

I emphasize functional movements as a key component in my work. That is basically movements you do in your everyday life. Run to the bus, jump up the stairs, lift a heavy couch etc. I know you can do it, but I also know you can do it better.

The more you move, the more you want to move

I have been working as a personal trainer for 5 years. Through this period, I have worked with different types of people. I have worked with athletes who wish to improve high-end performance, to people who want to become more functional in everyday life.

Exercise, Sleep, recovery and nutrition are key components for your health. How we will incorporate these elements into your life depends on where you are today, and where you want to be. There are no shortcuts to reach your goals.  If we start by establishing short term goals, my experience is that the road will get easier, and more enjoyable.

It is all about finding what suits you.
